Well the two World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Poland are just around the corner, and here's what i *hope* the starting XI will be:
GK: Robinson (will most likely be james though)
DF: (right-->left) G.Neville, Terry, King, Cole
MF: (right-->left) Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Wright-Phillips
SC: Defoe, Smith
United's representation is pretty meagre due to various injuries and suspensions but I can only see that as a good thing :) Spurs will have a quite representation, and rightly so. Some of their recent signings have been very smart and they look like a team on the up. Based purely on form, I think Defoe should partner Smith up front - I think they could work very well together with Smith's strength and aerial ability coupled with Defoe's pace, dribbling ability and eye for goal. I'm hoping our prodigal son Beckham will get back to the form we know he is capable of. I would like to see him hitting the corner flag more often and whipping in those famous crosses... I still remember those two beauties he sent in for Yorkie to head home against Inter... ah nostalgia....
I would also like to give a quick mention about Shaun Wright-Phillips - i know hes a blue, but i think he could be the man to answer the problematic left sided position. He's pretty damn quick and has good dribbling ability (directness is something lacking in the england team).

Welcome to Man Utd Blog's new home!
Nice site you got here...
Some nice comments from rival fans makes a change. Hope United take their tropthy back of the Arse and Spurs qualify 4 europe. Come on u Spurs!!!
Great, the less United players turning out for England the better, less chance of injuries and burnout that way. Just look at Heinze and Ronaldo, neither injured ( yet!, although Ronaldo might have a hernia coming on, ta Portugal ! ) but neither has been able to play so far this season.
But anyway, in normal circumstances there would be at leat 2 more ( Ferdinand and Rooney ), plus Scholes sensibly retired from int'l games.
I think Rooney is misguided. He was reported to hve cast doubts over Man Utd's title chase this yr. He went on to say that it will take 2 or 3 yrs for Man Utd to clinch it. I think Rooney has forgotten that he isnt in Everton or Liverpool where they hve a habit of promising titles in a few yrs and a few yrs.... Maybe Keano shd educate him abt setting high standards in Man Utd..i mean HIGH...obviously Rooney has not come to grips witht the significance of his transfer. Man Utd, for all its sheer size and financial clout, is always in for a fight for the title since 1992. This year is no different. Admittingly, Arse are playing some fantastic football..n man UTd's standards fades in comparisons but it shd adjust and take up the challenge within the season by itself..thats a real mark of a champion

The less manure players for England the better full stop. Just cause you play for manure does not mean you should automatically get picked for England. Quite right of Ericsson to drop Smith in place of the mighty Defoe. Scholes was usually rubbish for England and always seemed to get picked just cause he played for your lot. All we need to do now is get rid of the past his best Neville and we will finally be liberated. But you wait and see, once your cheating druggie centre back finishes his ban he will step straight back into the Engalnd setup......Just cause he plays for Manure

well, for England! Yet from which team the players do come, is purely non-sense...what matters is the results we obtain....if England manages to will the would cup with players coming from the championship, I would not matter. However, Tottenham have grew bigger, and I might say that if arse or chel (or man utd) do commit a small mistake Spurs will take advantage of that. As once I heard : "Spurs are sleeping giants...you think they are bad, and they wake up and shake things up!"
GO ON SPURS....EJJA WHITES!!!
Man U still sucks. On the way down. New Liverpool? Or even Liverpool will be over Man u at the end. Spurs on the way up! Can`t see the team who can take the leauge away from arse. Few more years and spurs will be a challenger. Newcastle won`t be better with Souness and Chelsea`s new army is the only challenger this season. Spurs for fourth. Come on you Spurs.
Sort the midfield and Spurs will improve
I hope that you will be able to add more stuff on this blog! I love the info you place here, cause it is very good and well
