Well he took his time, but finally he's arrived at Old Trafford to help United's league conquest. I'm sure a few United fans have their reservations about Gabriel after the Olympics saga and his apparent lack of commitment to the cause, but to be fair to the lad, if you've been called up for your country, then I guess you really got to go. Declining Argentina would probably harm his chances for playing in the full strength international team.
Anyway, I digress. England's next game against Poland is a must win situation after the disastrous last 20 minutes against Austria. Hopefully Sven's men can put something right here and in addition i hope that Sven will do the right thing and DROP BECKHAM. I haven't seen him have a good game in ages, a thought echoed by Mark Butcher. As Butcher rightly states, Beckham and Owen are untouchables in the squad, and this should not be the case. If they are playing poorly, then they should be dropped - its as simple as that!
